The architectural community sees energy-efficient buildings that they call ‘green’ and sometimes erroneously label as ‘sustainable’ as their way of mitigating Climate Change. For most rural and urban areas, Climate Change is already the cause of extreme heat waves and droughts, cloudbursts followed by floods and landslides, energy and water shortages, and sea-level rise with its slew of problems.
